Leisure Systems’ Schutter Visits AGS/TXAD HQ

Rob Schutter, president and CEO of Leisure Systems Inc. (LSI), which is the official franchisor of Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, visited the offices of AGS Guest Services Guides, a division of Texas Advertising.

Specifically, Schutter met with AGS/TXAD President Brian Schaeffer to discuss a wide range of topics including how to form a closer business relationship between the two business entities, according to an AGS news release.

Schutter is also the current chairman of the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC), while Schaeffer is CEO/executive director for Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO).

The two execs reviewed programs available through the state and national organizations. Approximately 25% of TACO members are also ARVC members. Should that percentage exceed 50%, then ARVC has a co-operative membership program for TACO’s consideration. ARVC president Paul Bambei will be contacting Schaeffer and try to enjoy a lunch break with the TACO board of directors at their upcoming winter board meeting in Austin, Texas.

Schutter was able to enjoy lunch with the staff of AGS/TXAD and share stories about the campground industry while learning more about the specific services of AGS Publishing (www.AGSPub.com) and TXAD Internet Services (www.TXADInternet.com). According to Schaeffer, “Schutter spent several hours here and we had a very enjoyable and productive visit.”

AGS/TXAD will be attending the LSI convention (www.jellystonefranchise.com/pdf/2012symposium.pdf) next week in Covington, Ky., and the ARVC convention (www.arvcohce.com) in Las Vegas, where the companies will continue their dialog.
