AGS Accommodates Unprecedented Growth
An increase in business has led campground AGS to hire and train three more teams of sales representatives simultaneously. This spike in business is unprecedented, with training being conducted at Covenant Heights Camp and Retreat Center in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
“So many parks have switched to AGS, with many more scheduled to come on board in 2016, that it was imperative to train as many teams as we did at one time to fulfill our goals,” says Michael Moore, general manager at AGS.
The new sales teams participated in a six-day classroom discussion, which enabled each representative to understand the process. Between their classroom instruction and nightly homework, the teams learned the importance of providing a quality product for AGS’ clients.
“The process of training multiple teams at the same time provides for more inclusive
discussions and also generates a great deal of camaraderie as well as competition between the teams,” says AGS representative Jerry Krebill, who teaches with his wife, Margaret.
Classroom training also included downtime for one-on-one consultations with the trainers.
“We only bring on the most qualified sales representatives to insure we keep our reputation as the industry leader in guest area guide production, customer service and marketing,” says Michael Moore.
