AGS/TXAD April 2016 Update

How much is your time worth?
AGS Guest Guides announced today that they’ve added a new tagline to their brand which will include their logo on all platforms. The tagline, “Get It Right! Get It Fast!” will be utilized to convey AGS’ core values when it comes to their product and service, specifically towards the production of their guest area guides for RV parks and campgrounds.

“While we already provide a quality product, it’s important to convey how important correctness and timeliness is in producing our product,” said President Brian Schaeffer. “I can’t tell you how many customers we’ve gained because they failed to get a correct product on time.”

The brand update coincides with the Hyper-Digital campaign AGS began rolling out at the end of 2015. In order to provide their product in ‘HD,’ providing accurate information quickly is essential to benchmarking any marketing strategies.

AGS digitally produces 3,000,000 annual guest guides for over 1,000 parks in the USA and Canada. The company also uploads each guide in a digital format to serve as a reference for travelers that can be displayed on park websites. Through this channel plus the national website, www.AccessCamping.com, there have been close to 1.5 million impressions of AGS guest guides online.

To App or NOT to App
Apps are becoming more prevalent in the campground industry, whether it’s a giant corporate entity (KOA or Good Sam), state association or an individual campground. Apps offer a faster, simpler way to provide information to current and potential customers and, in some cases, the ability to make a sale or reservation.

An app can say they offer all the bells and whistles they want but oftentimes it’s the little things that block a user from downloading and/or using an app effectively. Perhaps the most important aspect of any app is ease of use. If you put up enough roadblocks, the user becomes frustrated or impatient and is potentially lost forever.

If your app doesn’t deliver in this area, it could affect the call to action (e.g., making a reservation). Then you are spinning your wheels and wasting time and money. Using market research, speaking with industry leaders and recurring customers and having professionals with a proven track record for design and development will go a long way in figuring out what is needed and what will make your app stand out and convert users to customers.

If it doesn’t look professional, no one will download it. If it doesn’t deliver results, everyone will delete it. Let’s also not forget that pushing your app out before it is completely functional will only have a negative effect, since it can be reviewed the moment it goes live.

Don’t forget to promote!. Your app will be one of millions, so getting the word out in the right markets with your ideal clientele is essential.
